About

Lynne Aitken – Registered Osteopath

In 1990, I left midwifery to study a B.Sc. in a Biomechanical Manipulative Osteopathy at the British School of Osteopathy.

In 1994, as a qualified osteopath, I moved to south Shropshire, where I continue to practise; specializing in the gentle Biodynamic cranial approach, treating the whole family, including children, babies and pregnant mothers.

In 2000, I expanded my practise to include animals – mostly horses and dogs, where I work alongside the animal’s vet to maximise health and wellbeing.

As a Registered Osteopath, I take part in ‘continuous professional development’ courses in order to maintain a high stahttps://www.breastcancerhaven.org.uk/herefordndard of care. This has given me the opportunity to widen my skills and offer more alternatives to my clients.

Since 2010, I’ve tutored qualifying and qualified osteopaths in the Biobasics Course in London, teaching Biodynamic Osteopathy skills. I tutor because I want to give something back to my profession.

Also I regularly give talks to local groups about family and animal osteopathy, the proceeds of which go to the Haven Charity in Hereford, which is a Breast Cancer Charity. I do this in memory of my grandmother, who had Breast Cancer.
